An actual customer workflow

One workflow. A clear owner. A record you can explain.

We help teams turn an AI-assisted process into an accountable, reviewable way of working. Here is what the first engagement produces.

An example, not a case study

Imagine a small accounting firm.

Staff use AI to draft client explanations. Without a defined review step, an AI-generated statement may be sent without a clear record of who checked it.

Before — illustrative

Output exists. Approval is unclear.

AI drafts an email → an employee makes edits → the email is sent. Review may occur, but verification and responsibility are not consistently documented.

After — intended workflow

The decision has an owner.

AI drafts → employee verifies claims and figures → authorized human approves or stops → a decision record is saved → approved work may be sent.

Unstructured AI-assisted work becomes an orderly process with checkpoints.
Illustrative workflow: facts, human authority, stop conditions and retained review evidence.

Authority Pilot

The seven outputs, in plain English.

The Pilot covers a single confirmed workflow. VPP prepares the governance documents and the client reviews and adopts what applies.

01

Workflow map

The steps, tools, people, and AI involvement from start to finish.

02

Authority map

Where human judgment is required and who holds the decision right.

03

Approval checkpoint

A specific review point before consequential work is released.

04

Verification checklist

Short, relevant checks that help reviewers verify material claims.

05

Stop and override rules

When to halt, who can escalate, and how exceptions are handled.

06

Decision record

A structured example or client-completed record, correctly labeled.

07

Closeout and next steps

What changed, what remains open, and what the client must formally adopt.

Important distinction: a VPP-created template is not evidence that a client performed a check. Actual records and approvals must be completed and confirmed by the client. Any sample is identified as a sample.

Pilot vs. Build

Document the controls first. Install more when it is justified.

Authority Pilot: designs and demonstrates the governance for one workflow, with a bounded set of artifacts.

Authority Build: implements and hardens an accepted remediation plan. Where technical integrations are needed, VPP works with the client's technical team or separately contracted specialist.

What we need from a prospective client

  • One AI-assisted process with a real output.
  • A named workflow owner.
  • A brief description of where AI is used.
  • A redacted sample, if appropriate.
  • Agreement on the scope and evidence boundary.

Do not send confidential client files, protected health data, or privileged records through public inquiry channels.

Start with the smallest true step
